This book is about a student named Sophia who has a wheelchair. Her helper is on leave to be with her daughter and the teacher asks the other students to help Sophia until her helper gets back. In a way, I feel that it could be a bit problematic because the teacher tells the class that they need to help Sophia without asking her how they can help/what she can do for themself. I am not sure if I would have this book in my classroom, just because other books can better represent people who use wheelchairs. I think that this book is meant for 1-2 grade.… (mere)
I think this book would be good for lower elementary students. This book takes you through the process of building a skyscraper. Through the book, you are given the steps are taken, what materials are needed, and the tools that are used ( all of these materials and tools were labeled on the pictures). This text would be good for lessons on careers, for students interested in buildings, or just a fun fact book to keep on your shelf.

This book is about a girl in a wheel chair that needs help getting around to places in the school because her caregiver is no longer able to come help. The book is a story about each student first learning how to help well, and then taking turns helping her.
This would be a great read aloud book to scaffold thinking about how to help peers well within a classroom setting.
