This book's illustration immediately captured my attention when I started reading. The colors are very bright, and the book shows action throughout while explain the journey through the streets of downtown. The wording in the book has good rhythm and flow that keeps you moving from page to page. I can see students being easily engaged and entertained by this book. Although a simple book about the downtown streets and all of its different sights, this book is well put together, and I think it would be a fun book to read to a class. ( )

This is a good book to use for fluency and punctuation because there are appropriate pauses and a good use of comprehension to obtain fluency.

This books is about a boy who is playing with his toy cars. You can see on the pictures what is happening in his "streets". The text is rhyming and so it's easy to remember "Uptown, downtown, people know: Red light, stop. Green light, go!". I would recommend to read this book with your children. ( )
