Born in Postmasburg, South Africa, she was educated at Michaelis School of Art, University of Cape Town and Royal Society of Arts, London. She has lived and worked in her native South Africa, the UK, Greece, and the United States, where she now lives.

The eight nights of Chanukah af Lesléa Newman
A cute version of the Twelve Days of Christmas song for Hanukkah. The pictures are colorful and lively, and the text easy to sing. I just wish the last line wasn't always "a present waiting for me" but was about a candle instead.
Loved the illustrations of the little girl when she refuses to share. My, they look familiar.
This book is about a kid who wanted to dress himself but put all the clothes on wrong.
