The main girl character (90% sure is a red head) is the 3rd of 5 daughters. The first two had 1 dad (relatively rich), her dad was a (scottish/Irish) poor man who only left her a piece of "worthless" land, younger two have living (church guy, pastor?) dad. Older two daughters husbands' both wanted to marry her, but she was too poor, third suitor is marrying 4th sister but wants her.
She steals a letter from her mom, from her aunt, wanting a girl to come work at the palace, but preferably not her (because red head/temper?), she has a horse called Black Sabbath, and her stepfather wants to sell her "useless" land to a buyer but she says no.
Male lead is a (pirate?) irish/scottish man who wants that land because it is the last piece he needs to own a whole island (for a port?). His mom wants him to get married. Her husband raised him but his father is a vagabond.
Main character gets married by proxy with male lead and goes to work for her aunt in the palace. She meets male lead and know who he is because of his friend (proxy partner). Male lead bets with someone who can sleep with main character first and begins wooing her, while she plans on tricking him into a divorce (for being slighted?).
The Queen (Victoria?) is some weird cougar who likes attention and has jealousy issues. While male lead is wooing she wants main characters hair for a wig, male lead gets different hair for her.
Main character goes to a risque show and has violent first time with male lead. She gets him to go and divorce his wife for her (even though she is his wife) and runs off to his estate where she was supposed to be all this time. He gets home and she is there with a whip asking for her divorce.
Later she is pregnant and male lead's father kidnaps her, and they go to the piece of land that is hers. That's all I remember.
