I'm a fan of pie for breakfast, and I read this entire little book of poetic reflections on pie before breakfast this morning. What a treat! It's one of the beautiful little editions put out by the Chin Music Press, and has exquisite illustrations by Jessica Lynn Bonin facing every page of text. It also has extremely practical advice on pie-baking from an expert. And recipes. Buy it. It will do you and the world good.

I want to be Kate Lebo’s friend. This is a unique book of memories, knowledge about fruit and recipes. Sometimes it was a little slow to read but I wanted to know more about the fruit, her family and her journey to write this book. She seems to be a special person and this is reflected in this book.
