This is the Rain, is about where rain comes from and where it goes. The illustrations in this book are very unique as it looks as if certain things are just stuck to the page in random spots. Re-reading it you will see things you didn't quite see at first on the full-picture pages. The illustrator uses different font colors and place the words strategically to really emphasize certain parts of the story which I really enjoyed. ( )

An interesting approach to teaching about the water cycle. Very cool illustrations that collage photographs with digital images.

"This is the Rain," explains the water cycle and shows how water is recycled on earth. This is a good book that can be used in a science class to teach students about the water cycle.

The author uses repetition to show how this cycle never stops, and how the cycle is always repeating itself. She also uses rhyme, which gives the story a nice flow. ( )

This book is an interesting way to teach the water cycle. The book contains inside flap narrative, vivid illustrations, repetitive format (pattern), and the Water Cycle Factoid in back (prologue), ( )

This book tells about the water cycle on the planet Earth. It helps children answer where the rain comes from and where it goes. Children will aslo know plants and animals while they read this book.
