If this is the one where crossbows take the place of rifles, that doesn't work, too much mass to carry. ( ) Liberating Atlantis is the third book in Harry Turtledove’s Atlantis series and my first of any from it. This book covers those parts of what if and alternative history and centers on events in a large island called Atlantis. Liberating Atlantis deals with a slave revolt in the United States of Atlantis and has obvious parallels to the pre Civil war south of the United States of America. The book is a easy and fun read for those history buffs or what if buffs. I think anyone picking up this book will enjoy it. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

HTML: Frederick Radcliff is a descendant of the family that founded Atlantis's first settlement, and his grandfather Victor led the army against England to win the nation's independence. But he is also a black slave, unable to prove his lineage, and forced to labor on a cotton plantation in the southern region of the country. Frederick feels the color of his skin shouldn't keep him from having the same freedoms his ancestors fought and died for. So he becomes the leader of a revolutionary army of slaves determined to free all of his brethren across Atlantis. .Ingen biblioteksbeskrivelser fundet. |
