Actually gives advice useful for real people, showing how re-arrangements of furniture and accessories really do work better. Emphasizes placing furniture to fulfill needs of the owners and look good, with optimum traffic flow.
Cited favorably in "The House Always Wins". ( )

I've had this one a while and it is a life-saver! Absolutely love it! Interior decorating for those on a budget! Simple principles of color and arrangement really do let you use what you have to put the finishing touches on your house. Whenever the house needs a 'fresh' look, I pull this baby out and go to town! Much cheaper than shopping therapy. Friends actually comment to the effect 'you've done something different and it looks so much better.' And it does :-)
If you're an Interior Decorator, it's probably too basic for you, but if you're the average homeowner, it's a blessing! ( )

Unbelievable how some people have the "eye" to see how things should work together. I'm sharing this title with all my friends who've recently bought homes! ( )

Although I take issue with the author's assertion that one's home is not an art gallery (it is!! and a library too, so there!), this is still the most practical and usable guide to home decoration I've ever seen. Highly recommended. ( )

This is a very useable book. The before and after pictures are inspiring. As you look at them you realize the possibilities within your own home, and also that you don't have to buy new and start all over. You can begin right away with what you have. It's a great program.,,very helpful. ( )
