Each poem in this book is a lullaby that an animal mother sings to her baby. They are free verse poems and do not have a rhyme. I think they are very sweet and can be read to children at bedtime. ( )

Another great set of poems that I think students will really enjoyed. Many students can connect to animals and enjoy reading about them. Though poetry can be hard for them, this book will help them to understand and be entertained more. The different poems describe the different characteristics of each animal so students will be able to gain knowledge as well which is extremely important. ( )

I wish I had this book when my children were babies. I would have read all these lullabies to them every night. I loved the Giraffe, Alligator, Oyster, & Seahorse lullabies. They were so adorable and I wish I had a little baby to read these to. My kids are into Captain Underpants and Harry Potter - the struggle is real in our house with books. I think my oldest boy would enjoy these lullabies cause he is a softhearted kid. This is inspiring and soothing to read too. I would hate to have students falling asleep in my class, but it is a great book to keep in my classroom library. ( )

A picture book that includes lullabies told from mother animals to their babies. The pictures are beautiful and the lullabies are told in poems. The pictures are more enjoyable than the poems. ( )
