Slithering upon the heels of Dark Horse's archive collections of the seminal horror comics magazine Creepy comes its terror-filled cousin publication Eerie! Dark Horse Comics has taken great, gruesome care in presenting this groundbreaking material to readers who have been waiting decades to get their claws on it. Collected for fans for the first time ever, and packaged in the same amazing oversized format as its killer kin Creepy Archives, Eerie features work from many of the masters of comics storytelling, including Gray Morrow, Frank Frazetta, Alex Toth, Neal Adams, Joe Orlando, and others. For fans of spectacular spookiness, mind-bending sci-fi, and astonishing artwork, the New York Times bestseller Eerie Archives is a must-have. No library descriptions found. |

Stories are short (but to the point) and varied, you have everything from ghouls and vampires to greedy people, lunatics and murderers.
Art is great, I was especially thrilled to see works of Al Williamson - his work is very reminiscent of Alex Raymond. it is wonderful to see true masters (though not maybe fully established when magazine was started) working on black and white panels and accomplishing a lot with shadings and playing around with the light effects.
Highly recommended for all fans of truly beautiful comic art and very interesting short horror stories. ( )
