I'm not going to lie, I saw the cover and decided to read the first page while standing in the bookstore. It had a cute little beginning but a hint of seriousness to it. So I picked it up. It was hard to put down as the story developed. However, I find that it was a bit confusing at times, and things -I feel- were left out. I think it could go into more detail in the end.
But it was still a good read, action packed as our couple tries to escape the bad guys and just live a normal life (as normal as being romantically involved with an alien can get.)

This is one of those books that is hard to categorize. While it is clearly a romance novel, the publishers have sub-categorized it to be Paranormal Romance. However, the hero is neither Vampire or Werewolf, nor any other mythical character. Although he does have a psychic link to the heroine, he is not psychic. He is in fact from another planet. Normally, this type of sci-fi feature would classify it to be a Futuristic Romance, but the setting is not sc-fi but contemporary Earth. The story in itself is interesting enough, but leaves some unanswered questions about the longevity of life and physical strength issues, especially for the children. I almost wish the epilogue had been set more in the future, so we could have had answers to those questions as well. ( )
