I thought it was worth the read for anyone interested in poetry- poets and admirers alike. ( )

This is a collection that should be dipped into, read carefully, and truly savoured. Longfellow was probably the best American poet of the nineteenth century.

Longfellow's poems were published in many "complete" editions long before his death in 1882. This work is for editions called the "complete" Poetical Works", without further identifying information. If you know that your edition was published after Longfellow's death, please add information identifying the edition or date of publication in the title so that the edition can be separated and properly combined with postmortem complete editions.
