This story was very kid friendly and colorful. I can imagine it would attract a much younger crowd based on the cartoon drawings, humor and vibrant tones throughout. The overall plot is humorous and would make a young reader want to know what happens in the end. A chicken and a cat start their own cleaning business but don't seem to have the process down-pat. They continuously break their customer's items and lose the money they're trying to earn. In the end, they catch a burglar on the street and end up being heroes. Although the story is not deeply meaningful, it is light-hearted and comical for children to analyze through pictures. I think the illustrator did a great job writing a story as clearly as she did without using any words.

I was not a huge fan of this book because it didn't have a deep meaning. The plot was that a chicken and cat fail to clean a house, but make money by catching a burglar so they can start their own business. The colors in this story were very bright, and vibrant. This book would be a mixture of cartoon and expressionistic because humor was presented throughout the story, and the characters go through many emotions. These emotions range from excited, to anxious, to brave, to happy, and to sad. I would recommend this story to anyone who likes funny books, that involve animals.

I really enjoyed this book. It is a wordless picture book so readers are able to create their own stories using the illustrations provided. I enjoyed 2 main things about this book. First, I really enjoyed the fact that this book is wordless. Students don't see enough wordless picture books during instruction and I believe it fosters great creativity and imagination. The illustrations were very detailed which allowed readers to understand the story and follow along with the sequence of events. Second, I really enjoyed the plot. The illustrations laid out a story about a chicken and a cat who go to clean a house and cat ends up making mistakes and getting kicked out but in turn captures a thief and saves the day. The author was able to use the character's facial expressions and posture to show their emotions. The author also used background pieces in the illustrations that readers could actually read. For example, there are words on the newspaper and on buildings and the sides of trucks. This allows readers to gain a better understanding of what the author is trying to tell readers. I believe the main message of this story is that everything happens for a reason. ( )

Chicken And Cat Clean Up
Chicken and Cat is word-less picture book. The book consists of both main characters Chicken who is an organized and on time animal, and Cat who is sluggish and not capable of completing the requirements of the housekeeping business. Throughout the picture book, Chicken gives Cat new tasks to complete hoping Cat would be successful at least one of them. Though at the very end of the book just when Cat seems to have given up Cat finally finds what exactly he wants to do and that is to be a mouse catcher. Now in, my opinion, I really enjoyed the book for multiple reasons the first being that it was straight forward, and because of that, it does not take much to understand what is going on in the story. The second one is the creative nature on each page particular the images and overall look of each page it really made me enjoy the story, and because of that, I was interested in reading more. ( )

This is a cute story about a chicken and cat who run a cleaning service. It turns out that the cat is not so good at cleaning things up, because he is constantly making messes in the house they are trying to clean. Chicken instructs cat to sit outside since he keeps making messes. Cat sees a mouse stealing a lady's purse. He catches the mouse and turns him into the police. Cat gets a reward and uses his money to buy a pet turtle. I really liked this story because it shows that you may not be good at something, but you seem to find things that you are good at unexpectedly. ( )
