The first half of the book covers Tozer's well-known teaching on worship. The second half of the book looks at the current state of worship in the church, taking particular aim at the infiltration of entertainment into worship. (Most of the excerpts come from Tozer's work in the 1950s and 1960s.)
In his desire for true worship, Tozer stresses over and over again the adoration of God.
In the last chapter of the book, Tozer declares that all drama and acting in worship is sinful.
Tozer’s passion for worship is infectious and his desire to see the Lord high and lifted up will remind the reader of the Old Testament prophets who would settle for nothing less than full worship from the heart. ( )
