The snail tells her that he has been on a journey from France and that he ahs been lonely, so Mona (the moose) invites Maurice (the snail) to be her guest. The two eat together, work together, and often play hide and seek. They enjoy each others' company and friendship. One day, Maurice suddenly goes missing and Mona becomes depressed. This story is about Mona the moose has an unexpected guest, Maurice the snail, who ends up being a good friend and companion. They enjoy cooking together, playing Hide and Seek together, celebrating birthdays, etc. Then one day Maurice disappears and Mona is despondent and searches high and low, even putting up a poster offering a reward for information about Maurice. Days and days go by -- and then suddenly Maurice is back with his whole family. And Mona is so happy to see him again that she forgives him for leaving without telling her where he was going. ( )
