Personal reaction: Relocation camps are rarely discussed and should be. This book shows the inhumane way people were treated. It doesn't candy coat anything and shows how the children were still able to enjoy some things put on by adults in the camp.
Extension Ideas: learn to make paper flowers. Learn how to make a stone garden which is in the back of the book. ( )
