A random 99p selection on Kindle. I usually avoid 'twisty thrillers' because the story more often than not hinges on a gimmick rather than focusing on the characters, and this is a prime example - I think the author used a random plot generator and then threw about six different ideas together (murder house! - child witness! - killer in a coma! - video games! - face blindness! - snakes!) For all the craziness, though, I did keep reading (even after guessing the real killer) and liked the setting of the Red House. There was possibly a little too much going on at once, including first person narrators, but it does what it says on the tin. ( )
