This series becomes ever more boring as it seems to abandon any chances for drama in favor of earnest sappiness and the blandest of romances. And still the male lead comes off as a creep.

I have a library hold on the next volume, and I'm inclined to cancel it at this moment, but I'll give it one last chance to do something interesting. ( )

I'm honestly still enjoying this series. Itsuomi is great at communicating and confronting issues with tact. His dynamic with Oushi is charming; he’s not jealous but he’s made it clear he likes Yuki. But at the same time, he’s not deterring Oushi if he wants to address his feelings. They have such a big brother guides his little brother vibe.

Without delving into the pandemic too much, we see a glimpse at the hurdle wearing masks puts on those who rely on reading lips too. Being deaf is not all that Yuki is, but it definitely affects her life in ways some people don’t think about.

I would like to see what happens next since there's little to no conflict. ( )

Yuki got a job at a restaurant and is working hard to save money so she can go on a trip with Itsuomi. Itsuomi and Oushi get together to “talk and hang out”.

Again, I’m into this series because of Yuki and no one really else.

I still find Itsuomi boring and flat.

I did start rooting a bit more for Oushi, but the way the boys handle each other makes me roll my eyes so hard. At least Oushi is realizing he was kind of being ridiculous, but still…

I don’t know if I’m going to continue reading after this volume. ( )
