2003 PRISM AWARD FINALIST! 2002 PEARL AWARD FINALIST! BOOK II OF THE ELEMENTAL SERIES ... Drey is descended from a long line of female mages, but she herself only commands SMALL MAGICK. Her aunt and grandmother have sent her off by herself to unlock the power they know lies within her. Frustrated with her inability to perform even the basics of magick, Drey finds solace outdoors, playing her pipes while the breeze tangles her hair and tugs at her skirt. She explores the mountain that looms above her cottage and finds an isolated meadow-that long ago served a mage as a natural circle. With joy at her discovery surging through her, she casts the circle and raises power for the first time in her life. She also conjures a wind spirit and binds him to mortal form. Cyrus believes she has called him to pleasure her and applies himself diligently to the task. Their mutual delight dissipates when they realize she has no idea how she called and bound him. Only the mage who bound him can release him. Howcan she reverse what she did unwittingly? While she works to devise a ritual that will return him to his world, Drey helps Cyrus explore the physical world while he shows her glimpses of his realm. To her dismay, she finds herself falling in love with him. That revelation makes her desperate to send him back to the skies. Desperate enough to apprentice herself to a powerful mage with an agenda of his own. Desperate enough to promise him anything in exchange for the knowledge she needs to free Cyrus. *** Kathy Boswell of Romantic Times Magazine says: "Four stars! ... This delightfully whimsical tale is the second in the erotic Elementals series. It tells the story of Mildread, A.K.A. Drey.Eventhough this book is short in length, it's a story worth devouring. While Drey and Cyrus are the main characters, the cat Mousebane nearly takes over the reins. I eagerly look forward to seeing which Elementals story Midnight will take on next." “New Magician learning her tricks”

Coming from a family of female mages, Drey feels she is not up to par with her other family members. Sent away by her aunt and grandmother, she was instructed to find her powers within and unleash those talents. Drey is finding this process very tedious and unrewarding. She appears to be making no inroads and is becoming intensely frustrated. The only pleasure she does find is when she is playing her pipes outdoors and dancing in the wind.

One day on a mountain, she finally relaxes and is able to cast her first spell and in doing so changes a wind spirit into mortal form. Cryus believes that he was summoned to bring pleasure to his conjurer and sets out to fulfill her every sensual fantasy. Only later are they faced with the dilemma of returning him to his original form.

SMALL MAGICK, is the second tale in Liddy Midnight’s Dark Ages Erotic Fantasy series. Just the idea of being able to summon your own sexy essence for your very own pleasure is particularly titillating. If you are looking for a special story that is carefree, this lighthearted romance is for you. ( )
