This was an early reviewer book. It starts off at a dead run and continues page after page. I hope the author continues to write books of this quality. While a bit formulaic in places, the characters and the pace of the action overcome the downside. I would highly recommend this book to anybody who enjoys L.T Ryan and that type of story. As is so often the case when you have the CIA involved, the CIA comes out looking bad for all the right reasons. A thoroughly good read. It starts with an interesting storyline about three macho friends who decide to steal from the rich and give to the poor, less their cut, of course. As the plot gets more complex military-style action ensues. This keeps the reader enthralled for a while, but then, just in case anyone thinks they know what going on, a science fiction element creeps in.

This book certainly kept me interested from start to finish. I can certainly recommend it. ( )

I really liked this book. Cameron Lyle has just left the Navy SEALs and is working as a government contractor. He finds himself embroiled in the chase to recover a mysterious device that was uncover in the South American mountains. The chase takes him around the world, most of the time just steps ahead of a dogged FBI agent.

Cameron is likable and it is easy to root for him to be successful. The intrigue in this book is great. So many twists and turn and unexpected characters and people popping in and out of the story.

Of course, all this is unbelievable, but it is still fun. Read it. You will enjoy it. ( )

I enjoy reading action adventures, mysteries, and science fiction novels. Without realizing it, I got all three in The Medina Device. It starts with three longtime friends who decide to become Robin Hood thieves. After pulling off several creative heists, which baffles the FBI, they get blackmailed into stealing a mysterious device. This theft leads them into a whirlwind plot of action and intrigue. Trying to hide from the FBI and CIA, they finally discover what the medina device is, and science fiction bursts into the story.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters are very real and the story is imaginatively played out. I look forward to your next book! ( )

This is a very fast paced mystery/thriller. has all the classics from former SEALs to CIA to ancient mysteries and secret societies. Almost has the feel of a Steve Berry (one of my favorites) volume. The author has a neat ending and one in which I believe he has created the mechanism for follow-on volumes. Great 1st book by the author, can't wait to see what's next. ( )
