Charlie O'Leary is a twelve-year-old boy who is ready to go off to sea to fight alongside his brother in the Civil War. As Charlie learns his duties on the ship, he wondered about his brother and wanted to find him. He realized his brother ship was close but didn't have time to focus on it as his ship was in battle. Some of his ship's sailors were dead and injured. Charlie had to think quick and helped. In the end, he didn't find his brother but knew he was out there still and determine to help him as he was fighting for the country. (
