This series is so good. I am loving the plot and connection between the Hellhound Champions and The Chosen One series. After knowing that both Sawyer and Mikey had some paranormal stuff going on, it only made sense that we would meet the third brother, Nick. And boy did we. Nick was from the horrible place that Henry and the other kids were rescued from years ago. He has been trying to find the place again to save the kids and so frustrated that he wasn't able to help. He also has no clue he is a lion shifter, starts to find the place he escaped from as a kid, he triggers the wards that the Hellhounds put on it when they rescued the kids. Enter Jedrek. Jedrek is one of Shaq/Sol's guys, and he was such a great character. He was so patient with Nick as he navigated his new abilities and with understanding the danger that his brothers are in. I loved watching Nick thrive in his new life. Excellent addition to the series. I can't wait for more.

Yes! A new Macy Blake book in the world of the Chosen One. I was jumping up and down to get this one, and now I have it.

This one is the story of Nick and Jedrek and is one of the hellhound books. I like the fact that this takes place in the same world as the Chosen One books and at the same time, because we get to have a different viewpoint on the world and see the actions from a different side. It's fascinating to me how the same events affect people differently and have so many ripples.

It was nice to see some overlap with Nick's little brother Sawyer and his guys, and their brother Mikey and his guys. It let us learn more about the past of all the guys. I would really love to have a story about Mama Thea or at least to find out some of her backstory. I'll bet that she was a pretty amazing woman, and not all that human.

I can't wait for the next parts of the story and to see what's going to happen, because I know that it's going to be so good. ( )
