I like the concept a lot, because it's great to show these sea creature dads caring for eggs. I knocked a star off because one of the fish dads says he's babysitting his children after they hatch. YOU CAN'T BABYSIT YOUR OWN CHILDREN. It drives me up a freaking wall when someone says my husband is 'babysitting' our son. THAT WOULD BE CALLED PARENTING, EVERYONE. When I get to this sentence I change it so that Mr Fish dad says 'I'm taking care of my children' or some such thing. "Mister Seahorse" is a picture storybook that is illustrated by Eric Carle. Eric Carle is known for his exquisite collage style art, which is one thing that I love about this book. The illustrations are vibrant and add to the story. The book tells about a father seahorse that is carrying eggs in its pouch. It then travels through the sea meeting many different male species of fish that are also caring for their young in one way or another. That introduces a variety of fish species to the students while also giving insight on how they care for their young. The book also utilizes repetition to help with the flow of the story. I really enjoy this book and would use it for its illustrations and the introduction of different aquatic species. After reading this story, I may have students try to make a collage style art work of their own. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
