Indlæser... They Call Me Güero: A Border Kid's Poemsaf David Bowles
![]() Ingen Der er ingen diskussionstråde på Snak om denne bog. ![]() This is a collection of poems that tell the story of a border kid of Mexican heritage. It is full of cultural references and vibrant in language. I really loved that most of the translations were in the back rather than in the text. Since I know some Spanish, this allowed me to really enjoy the flow of the poetry without pauses for in-text translation. I touched on elements of poverty and prejudice and the bonds of friendship and a close, loving family. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
