An interesting twist--Mama Bunny is the one going on a business trip. Dad is the one who is staying home. What I like is seeing books where fathers (however represented) are hanging with their children. I think it is a way to build strong role models.

But anyway.

Bunny wants to go away with Mama but he can't. Instead, Dad comes up with a whole bunch of ideas for them to do to 1.) have fun and 2.) not miss Mama so much. The imaginations come out. They have so much fun!!

I really like the premise. And it would be fun to ask kids what fun ideas they could come up with at home! ( )

Bunny’s mama is going on a business trip, and Bunny wants to go too. But Bunny will have to stay home and have his own staycation. With the help of Papa they take trips to the beach, the arctic, and even go on a safari all from the comforts of home. And they have a special trip planned when Mama walks through the door. This book is great for showing imagination at work. That you can create adventures right from you own bathroom or kitchen. Lots of fun, and the illustrator does a great job keeping things fun, but also showing great emotion and heart. ( )
