I love this book because I think it is a great read for young students. Some children do not understand the differences in other people and I think this shows a great example of how people, who are deaf, are different. Not only does the book talk about how people are deaf, but it also discusses how they have gotten help or what they do to communicate, such as sign language. The book also tells the reader about things that deaf people depend on such as, "Flashing lights tell them it is time for class." The purpose of this book is to inform the readers about deaf people, why they are deaf, and how they cope with being deaf. This is an easy read for young students and is definitely a kind of book I will have in my own classroom. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
