Who is this alter-ego of that wonderful Dane from [b:Finding Home|25820292|Finding Home (Finding, #1)|Sloane Kennedy|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1481497736s/25820292.jpg|45677150]? Yes, I know, his past has bitter tones, even so, what a moron. ( ) Over the last 24 hours I have read [a:Sloane Kennedy|13565650|Sloane Kennedy|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1469034883p2/13565650.jpg]'s [b:Redeeming Rafe|26147722|Redeeming Rafe (Barretti Security Series, #2)|Sloane Kennedy|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1441310918s/26147722.jpg|46102629], and [b:Finding Trust|25978624|Finding Trust (Finding Series, #2)|Sloane Kennedy|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1439249002s/25978624.jpg|45888569]. I could write some long, in-depth review for each book and make them pretty with some hot gifs, but I'm not. Instead, I'm going to make this pretty simple. In fact, I'm copying this one review for both books cuz I'm just feeling lazy that way. So here goes: I enjoyed both books but what I really enjoyed was the fact that the author did not pigeonhole her M/M heroes in these books. One is not more Alpha than the other. They each have moments of intense, dominate need for their partner. One is also not more submissive than the other. Vulnerability is seen in both Cade and Rafe in [b:Redeeming Rafe|26147722|Redeeming Rafe (Barretti Security Series, #2)|Sloane Kennedy|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1441310918s/26147722.jpg|46102629]; and Jax and Dane in [b:Finding Trust|25978624|Finding Trust (Finding Series, #2)|Sloane Kennedy|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1439249002s/25978624.jpg|45888569]. I read a lot of M/M romance and many of them have main characters who fall into a stereotypical pairing that sometimes comes across as one partner being über masculine and the other sort of girly. That isn't necessarily a bad combo, but if the writer isn't careful those rigid roles can lead to a boring story. It is refreshing to read an M/M book with characters who embrace both sides of their nature. Plus, I just gotta say, I really enjoy reading about the big Alpha badasses getting off on being manhandled. sigh... These are the first M/M books I've read by Kennedy so I'm not sure if this is her norm when writing M/M but it really worked for me. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
