This is a new edition of Louis L'Amour short stories, including one of my favorites, War Party. It's a good collection, not a bum steer in the bunch! ( ) On the whole, this collection of some of Louis L'Amour's oldest short stories was entertaining, even fun. As long as, that is, L'Amour stayed away from material like He was aware of this drive and held it in restraint, but at times it welled up, and he went smashing into trouble--a big, rugged, and dangerous man who fought like a Viking gone berserk, except that he fought coldly and shrewdly. Lines like that just made me laugh at L'Amour, not with him. Also, most of the men, with the exception of Shad Marone, were too good, both with a gun and as people. Still, fun to read. My favorite short story was War Party. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
