The book covers the story of the world’s ports from Neolithic to modern times.
The illustrations are highly historically accurate. Every picture contains lots of details from which it can be learned about the way of life through historic times.
Ports were extremely important for our civilization in many aspects, for both trading goods and learning about other cultures. Hours can be spent studying thematically precise illustrations which are also very artistically appealing.
For junior school children the book is a great introduction to the topic and very engaging at the same time. There is also a small eye catch game with the quest to find one clumsy guy through the illustrations for added interest. ( )
