When an acorn falls to the ground, it’s the beginning of something special. Because of a tiny acorn, a tree may sprout, a bird might build a nest, a flower may grow, fruit might ripen, and an animal might find dinner. From that one acorn a whole forest may grow full of trees and animals.

Because of an acorn, a tree grows, a bird nests, a seed becomes a flower. With very simple text and vivid illustrations this book offers an intuitive journey through our ecosystem where all things are connected.

I really liked this book, it was very cute. This book as really pretty illustrations. There were not many words to describe what is going on in the pictures, I feel though that there are just enough detail in the pictures to understand what is going on. this is a great book to introduce the concept of a food chain and how plants and animals fit into them. I think if I used this in the classroom I would then have a activity where they had to use different animals to create a food chain. I think this book will be able to engage students in a classroom.
