Love the story idea and characters. So much feels. Concerns at halfway were: pacing - sudden jumps in time; characters- sudden introduction of magic/theology without previous depth to the magic system or belief system.

Love the concepts and this phrase: "Only fools judge people on the color of their skin, their culture, or their religion. I judge a man on how he behaves towards me and my family.”

There are a great many beautiful things about this novel, but I find myself unable to finish it. There were too many things that threw me out of it. It's a great concept, the author is clearly talented, and I love the take on werewolves.

Maybe it's just I'm not a huge werewolf fan to begin with, but this just wasn't for me. ( )
