Though much of his early life remains a mystery, Blackbeard most likely began his life as Edward Teach in the sailing port of Bristol, England. He began his career as a hired British sailor during Queen Anne’s War. He eventually settled in the Bahamas under Captain Benjamin Hornigold who taught the young sailor to go "a-pirating." Soon enough, Blackbeard was commanding his own fleet and stealing ships around the Caribbean and up and down the Eastern seaboard. Known for his thick, black beard and fearsome reputation, the legend of Blackbeard has influenced pirate legend and lore for over 300 years. Who was Blackbeard By Sam Wright ‘‘Tis a harsh story about the most feared pirate of the seven seas. Captain of the Queen Anne’s revenge. Scary name huh. His real name was Edward teach but that isn’t important. He got scary by sticking ropes into his beard and burning them. He also attacked every ship that came in and out of South Carolina. Blackbeard was even a character in pirates of the Caribbean, and he was sooo cool. Story is he would attack a ship and throw the crew overboard. Interesting fact. Some pirates caught a disease called scurvy. Pirates didn’t make people walk the plank. Pirates didn’t even say arrrrrrrrrrr. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
