I would consider this book to be a nonfiction, informational book. I did not know it was either of those things until I finished reading the story and turned to the last page of the book. I love the illustrations and how they are all colored outside of the lines, yet all facial expressions that are important to the story are made bold. When reading this book I thought a lot about the team work between Igor Sravinsky and and George Balanchine and how their talents are what brought them together. Also their determination to create something unique for the circus is a great message and brings truth to the cliche that anything is possible if you want it to be.
