( ) Sleepy Hollow: Rise Headless and Ride by Richard Cleaved and narrated by Eric Michael Summerer is an great new tale on the old subject! It has a teen boy as the main subject who lives with his rich grandmother. There is a treasure hunt, evil possession, and other supernatural activity. It must be a series because it left some things still open to questions. If it is, it will be good! Narration was good too! I've always been a fan of Irving's classic, along with the Disney cartoon version, and this book didn't disappoint! I got my wife the audible version and she is loving it. This is a well-written book that makes the reader feel as if he or she is right there in the action. The characters and setting are perfect. Richard Gleaves is a writer I will continue to read. Looking forward to the next two books in this series! Good book, although this looks at first like a tie-in to the Sleepy Hollow television series, the only character it shares in common is the Headless Horseman - and he isn't much like the series. The protagonist is Jason Crane, the last living Crane. He and his grandmother Eliza, who raised Jason since he was 7, move from Maine to Sleepy Hollow when he is 16, soon to turn 17. I really like the characterization. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

"Read this novel if you want something authentic of Sleepy Hollow and the Headless Horseman. Dare I say it, this should have been the book film makers used to retell old Irving's gem." -- Jonathan Kruk, Official Storyteller of Sleepy Hollow and author of "Legends and Lore of the Hudson Valley" "May I present the Last Descendant of Ichabod Crane..." JASON CRANE just turned seventeen years old. He's a STAR WARS fan and a history geek. He doesn't believe in ghosts or the afterlife. He doesn't believe in psychic powers or tarot cards. He doesn't believe in the HEADLESS HORSEMAN. But SLEEPY HOLLOW will change all that. Because Jason Crane has a heritage to claim. Jason Crane has a Gift to discover. And Jason Crane has an old enemy who will RISE HEADLESS AND RIDE. Ingen biblioteksbeskrivelser fundet. |
