I have always thought that Buckingham Palace was a rather drab place, from the exterior, but this is a gorgeous book. The text details the history of the palace from mulberry garden, to Ducal palace, to Royal Palace. Funny to think that it was almost abandoned as a royal residence.

The book is filled with pictures, almost all in color, of the rooms, past and present, the furnishings and the art work. Portraits are included of the Kings and Queens who lived there.

A very attractive book. ( )
