The inscrutable Inspector Zhang of the Singapore Police Force is Bangkok-bound on a passenger jet when a passenger is found dead in the first class cabin. But who killed him, and why? It's up to Inspector Zhang and his assistant, Sergeant Lee, to solve the case. This is a short story, just under 11.000 words, equivalent to about 36 pages. A perfect read if you have an hour or so to kill. I have also included the first few chapters of another detective story set in Asia - Bangkok Bob and The Missing Mormon. Stephen Leather is one of the UK's most successful thriller writers. He was a journalist for more than ten years on newspapers such as The Times, the Daily Mail and the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong. Before that, he was employed as a biochemist for ICI, shovelled limestone in a quarry, worked as a baker, a petrol pump attendant, a barman, and worked for the Inland Revenue. He began writing full time in 1992, he has sold more than three million copies and his books are published in more than ten languages. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

Everything cannot be impossible, because we have a victim and we have a crime scene and we also have a murderer that we have yet to identify. What we have to do is to eliminate the impossible, and that we have done. We know that he was killed on the plane. That is certain because he was alive for most of the flight. So it was impossible for him to have been killed before boarding. But we are equally certain that it was impossible for him to have been shot...
A good introduction to the longer novels. Fun and cheap for the Kindle. ( )
