Photos accompany information about each of the albino animals presented in this book. Since they are so rare, most of the information is presented as case studies. Side boxes provide additional facts and answers about the animals. Halls has obviously done her research and she provides an extensive bibliography at the end of the book.

This is an informative book that gives detailed information about albinism and how it effects the various animals that are shown in this book. The author gives us much information about what albinism is, and goes into more detail about how animals with albinism are more likely to be preyed upon, or be harmed by UV rays due to having less melanin.

This book is not a typical "feel good" one, but it provides interesting and great insight on what albinsm is. Engaging and the cover is eye-catching, though a bit scary.

I thought this was really wonderful. It was very informative, and made it easy to understand what albino was. I think that it seemed easy enough for a child to read and grasp the information.

This book was about learning about Albino animals, their genetics and the challenges they face to survive. It actually can help teach, at a fairly high level (yet easy to understand) about genes and their affects on animals (and us).
