Nice collection of mini-bios and anecdotes by the families and friends of the heroes and victims of United 93. ( )

on Saturday, January 20, 2007 I wrote about this book:

Well I finished reading this book on January 7th 2007.
It was interesting and touching but confusing for me because of all the names of the passengers and there families.

What a terrible way to die. Once they learned that the hijackers were lying to them and they were going to crash, like the 2 other airplanes did in the World Trade centre, they decided to take matters in there own hand.
These passengers will be remembered forever.

This nonfiction book is about Flight 93 that crashed 9-11-2001 in Pennsylvania during Twin Tower and Pentagon terrorist attack. The book gives a background of the passengers along with a probable scenario of the event that day. “Freedom is not free”. This story shows what motivated people can do, both positive and negative. This book was difficult to put down. The author tells the story of each person who boarded Flight 93 including how they spent the days and hours leading up to September 11th. Through his background summary of each person, Longman also does an excellent job of conveying to the reader that these were real people who had families, friends, careers, and hobbies like so many of us. This book is both sad and inspiring. ( )

A comprehensive look at everything that took place during 9/11 from recollected facts from people who lost their loved ones on Flight 93. A harrowing, gritty but informative book. ( )
