I believe this book could 'turn your life around' if you pursue it's philosophy and apply it. It is written in a clear manner and delightfully uses different subjects/objects to explain viewpoints. Well worth reading and 'pursuing' further. i would like to be a scrabble-playing squirrel! ( )
Pursuing the Good Life offers a clear understanding of what positive psychology is—and what it’s not, which is a Pollyanna-ish, “it’s all for the best" perspective—as well as some concrete suggestions for getting more out of our lives and putting the healthiest and strongest traits we have to work in the day-to-day. The bottom line is also the late Peterson’s personal motto: “Other people matter."
Peterson takes readers on a lively tour of the sunny side of the psychological street. What are the roles played by positive emotions and happiness, by strengths of character, by optimism, and by good relationships with others? He explores such diverse topics as the difference between employment and work, the value of doing the right thing, and why books matter, among other subjects. Ingen biblioteksbeskrivelser fundet. |
