This book is about a child and her friendship with her cat. The book is about what her cat enjoys and what they do together.

Matilda's cat doesn't like many things that Matilda would expect it to. But that's okay, because Matilda's cat like her.

The child and the cat are just fabulous. I especially love how Matilda recalls Max in his wolf suit. Brilliant.

Matilda’s Cat is about a little girl named Matilda who thinks her cat likes a whole bunch of different activities, but really the cat doesn’t like anything. Matilda spends a whole day doing many activities (i.e., playing with string, tea party, etc.), but the cat doesn’t like any of those things. When Matilda finally notices that the cat isn’t participating in anything, she gives up and lays on her bed. This is when she realizes that her cat simply just likes spending time with Matilda. This is a very cute story of an unexpected friendship. The artwork is creative and makes the reader want to see what else the two friends will do next. This book is suitable for young readers because of the simple words used. There aren’t many sentences, but the words are simple for young readers to understand the story, and read on their own. ( )

The book MATILDA'S CAT is a story about the relationship between Matilda and her cat. This book is good for children of all ages because it shows the importance of pets and how they can be really important to people. Throughout the book it talks about how Matilda's cat loves all of these things that it actually does not love and then at the end it explains how the cat only does these things because really it just loves her. I like the pictures in this book because the background is all white while the main characters and ideas of the story are colored. To me this makes the pictures stand out more. This story could be used in the class when a teacher is teaching about the importance of the love between people and theirs pets and how they can make a difference on one another. ( )
