The characters were well developed and the plot kept me interested. It was a very fast paced read, enjoyable for a rainy afternoon. It was kind of one of those cozy, fuzzy, just girly lovable books. It was like love triangle overkill though: the light and dark, the good and bad sides both guys totally contrasting the other. Plus I thought it was absolutely ridiculous that Brianna felt bad about having feelings for her dream Lukas. Hello it is a dream! He is not real he is just someone you have dreamt about for a long time. Gavin on the other hand is real, I totally didn't understand her. I mean I love having hot steamy dreams about guys but I know it is not real. She seemed like she couldn't tell the difference. Also there was a complete lack of information about Brianna's special ability and why she was able to hide it for so long. It kind of was just in the beginning of the book then poof disappeared into love sick girl problems. Getting the badness out of the way even though I thought Brianna was a little annoying I ended up liking her. She was a no judge type of person and showed a great deal of respect and caring for those around her. The story seems a little twilight influenced, but I guess everyone is comparing everything to Twilight nowadays. I will definitely be reading the sequel! My dreams were anything but normal. My temper sucked. And the new guy at school was anything but average. I was a goner. We are talking, picking my drooling tongue off the floor kind of gone. Gavin Mason was mouthwatering hot, and his stormy sapphire eyes were filled with secrets. Gavin might be dark and dreamy, but he wasn't the guy who captivated my nights. Lukas Devine looked like the boy next door, and it was his sunny face that heated up my unusual dreams. The closer I get to Gavin, the crazier they become. Then the unexpected happens. Gavin literally froze an object mid-air saving my ass from what could have been a life-threatening situation. Turned out the guy I am crushing hardcore on, was a witch. Yep. You got it. A full-blooded witch. Magic just wasn't a myth, and Gavin and his family weren't the only witches in town.
