Dear Peteris published to celebrate the 150th birthday of Beatrix Potter. It has a beautifully designed copper foil jacket and is the perfect gift for Beatrix Potter fans and collectors alike. Beatrix Potter is best known for her original twenty-three tales about a cast of endearing, mischievous characters and their humorous adventures. What's less well known is that these characters' stories don't always stop at 'The End' but continue through a collection of letters - written to each other and fans around the world. Dear Peter contains the funniest examples of this correspondence, and features letters from well-loved characters including Peter Rabbit, Mrs. Tiggy-winkle, Mr. Jeremy Fisher, and Squirrel Nutkin.… (mere)

This is an adorable set of letters written by people (mostly children) to Beatrix Potter's characters. The responses, usually from the characters themselves, are sweet and clever. Sometimes one character answered for another, who was busy or up to mischief.

The only slight drawback was that some of the fonts used made it hard for me to read some of the letters. I would have preferred Beatrix's handwriting (I love seeing things written by hand by the author) or a consistent easy-to-read font.
