Cherish by Allie York
The Broadway Series #5

What a wonderful story! Thoroughly enjoyed watching Beck and Meredith meet, fall in love, and find their happily ever after.

What I liked:
* Meredith: strong, musically talented, ran from an abusive relationship, has some medical issues to deal with, family is there for her, and her knight in shining armor may have saved her but claims to have tarnished armor
* Beck: twin, architect, a womanizer and hedonist, architect, considered a bad boy and trouble, steps in when Meredith is in a crisis and falls quickly for her, supportive, caring, makes some big changes and grows a lot
* The setting, plot, pacing, and writing
* Returning to the close friends that work on Broadway and seeing how they are all doing
* Finding out who has babies or will be having them soon
* The way Meredith and Beck communicated openly and feeling they were good together
* Sadie: Beck’s new dog and also the other dogs and cat that were owned by various people
* That the friends and family in the story were there for one another
* The surprises, twists, and turns
* the conclusion and hoping that the Broadway friends and family will have many years of happiness to enjoy together

What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to like
* That this is the last book in the series

Thank you to the author and IndiePenPR for the ARC – This is my honest review.

The Broadway Series #4

Excellent way to spend the afternoon. Broadway is a street file with wonderful people, great businesses, good friends, and potential for romance for more than one. Thoroughly enjoyed returning for another visit to see who would find their happily ever after this time.

What I liked:
* Cori Sharpe: single parent, good friend, dog groomer, divorced, difficult backstory, puts her daughter first, rather taken with Griffin
* Griffin Steele: tattoo artist, recently given apprised of his fatherhood and given custody of his daughter, alpha, falls hard and quickly for Cori
* Celia: Griffin’s daughter, traumatized by her mother’s addiction and all she saw, secure with Griffin, forms strong bond with Axel at dance class
* Axel: Cori’s daughter, secure, dynamo, friendly, immediately accepts Celia and befriends her, chatterbox
* Seeing how the characters from previous books in the series are doing
* The plot, pacing, and writing
* That I felt Cori and Griffin were there for and good with one another
* The way Griffin supported and was there for Cori and how she had his bac, too
* The way friends and family stepped in to help and be there for one another.
* Knowing that there is at least one more book in the series to look forward to

What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to like
* Knowing that mean people can be as mean in real life as some of them were in this book.

Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Definitely

Chase by Allie York
The Broadway Series #3

Kismet, karma, fate or chance…a bus ride, a notebook, and words that changed two lives forever…great little story.

What I liked:
* Harriet: younger sister, daughter of an addict, works in mortuary, list-maker, pleaser, friendly, has a difficult backstory, felt for and with her and really liked her
* Briggs: twin, architect, notetaker, loving son, takes backseat to alpha brother, falls for Harriet at first sight, really liked him and how he came out of his shell with Harriet
* The way Harriet and Briggs came together and seemed to be perfect for one another
* Faye: Briggs mother and a good person
* That Beck seemed to wise up a bit by the end of the story…hope it continues
* The plot, pacing, location, and writing
* Getting to see the cast of characters from previous books and finding out how they are doing
* Wondering which character on Broadway will have his or her story up next
* That the dark vibe creators were dealt with in the end

What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to like
* Thinking about the difficulties that Harriet and Briggs had to face in their past

Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Yes

Change by Allie York
Broadway Series 2

Second chance romance with bit of taboo, a lot of steam, secrets kept, and a happily ever after ending for more than one person in the story. Great addition to the series.

What I liked:
* Lydia Reed: single mother, teacher, good friend, loving daughter and sister, guarded, knew one true love and that love was Jacob…well…and her son
* Jacob Teller: divorced, teacher, athlete, loving son, in the dark about his son, loving dedicated father, never forgot his first and only true love-Lydia
* Oliver: well adjusted, tweenager, athletic, intelligent, aware, good son, added a lot to the story
* The second chance theme that bordered on taboo
* Getting to see how Lydia’s family, met in book one of the series, is doing
* That one of the bad guys was not totally bad…
* The small town setting
* Wondering who will have their story told next
* The way it all came together in the end and the happy future I see for everyone

What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to like
* The years Jacob and Lydia could have had together

Did I enjoy this book Yes
Would I read more in this series Yes
