Etienne and Violet are professors in the Photography Department of the local college. Both are attracted to each other but, because of their desire to find partners that will give reign to their Daddy and little sides, do not act on that attraction. Wednesday night is coloring book and cocktails for Violet and her friends. Etienne is there, catching up with an old high school friend, and discovers Violet's little side. That same night Violet discovers Etienne is a Daddy. Violet, however, has a stalker. Can Etienne help keep her safe? Will the two pursue a relationship?

I enjoyed this story. I liked Etienne and Violet. They are cute. I liked that they took it slow to find out if they could work together. Etienne is gun-shy because of his past. Violet is able to calm him when he questions her. I loved the ingenious way that Violet and her friends take to find the stalker. I had a good time reading this book.

I look forward to the rest of the series.

I read book 1 in the anthology Billionaires Before Bed and bought the box set. Some criticisms of the stories which I have seen are unfair and the premise, while unlikely (hey! it's fiction) is generally well-developed. Why three stars then? The author has a habit of repeating herself at times, too many times to overlook, and the sex scenes - although by and large well-conceived - get in the way of the story towards the end. It may have been better condensing into two slightly longer stories. Still, I enjoyed it, and I'm glad I found out the whole story of Lily and Finn.… (mere)

B- rating
There are good and bad things to this book. Overall, I enjoyed it. So, here is what I liked:
1. Aaron is great! He is an alpha for sure, but it wasn't an alpha a-hole. Loved getting his POV (I actually liked his POV more than Nina's)
2. Interesting story line with why Aaron was in prison and who Nina's real dad is.
3. Its a pretty fast paced book

What I didn't like:
1. The over use of the words Golly and Goddess. Seriously, it was distracting and I was rolling my eyes every time it happened after chapter 3...I gave myself a headache.
2. They jump into sex (and sort of kinky sex) pretty quickly. I love insta-love but for Aaron and Nina, it was like insta-love and insta sex and I think it actually diminished my belief in their love (it felt more like insta-lust that wouldn't last!)

So, overall, worth the read. Especially if you can ignore Golly and Goddess over and over. I actually considered skipping the chapters from Nina's POV because it bothered me so much. #notkidding
