This is the author, and I am biased. I love writing about characters in the Alhambra world. This one story is from the same world as Calixta and Ultima Skylar. Still, you can read it out of order, and if you haven't read Calixta or Ultima Skylar, this story will not take away from the other two stories. Olympia is an Exotic but unlike Calixta and Ultima. She was brought to the trade as an adult. Olympia's back story is sad, but after she meets Matteo, things get better for her. I love this tale. I wrote this book in one month. It came to me at a time when there was a lot of adversity in my life, and all I wanted was hope. I let my desire for hope spill out on the story.

I have taken some time to write a note about this book. It's the second in the series and it was a breeze to write until I got to the last five chapters then it became a hardship. If you managed to read the first book in its entirety, the second book will be a breeze and much more fun. By now, you should know at least some of the characters. You might have gotten used to the way I go from one group of friends to others because the book is written in parts. And you should know This book does not follow the 3 arc way of storytelling.
I follow many groups of people that were left up in the air in book 1 and you will get to know and really hate some of the enemies of June and her friends.
I really hope you give the series a chance. It does get better with each subsequent book. It gets complicated and the intrigue and secrets between the Tolenko and Falesto Families are more intertwined than most know.
However, I think you will all like the ending.… (mere)

Hello all, I am the author of the book, and I am bias. This book is not for everyone. This book is written in parts. The second edition, which is the only edition you will find, has no preface, author's notes, and deleted the epilogue. I added a timeline and an expanded list of the characters to know who the people of interest are. However, this story is unique in the way I tell the story. It does not follow the three arc way of storytelling. So if that is what you like, this is not the book for you. Below is an example of how the book is written.

Imagine yourself sitting with a large group of your friends in front of a campfire. They all lived through this fantastic adventure, and you want to know all about it. All your friends lived it, and they all have different experiences about the event. Each of your friends' experiences is connected to take you to the big final event. So, the pack of friends' leader starts telling the story, but she is a clown, so then she acts the story and shows you what was happening.
However, the rest of your friends want to tell you their side of the story also. They are eager to include the bad guys, so they come and show their side of the story too.
Do not forget; all details are connected. All you read of what is happening will become important at one point in the story.
Moreover, some friends step in and take you on a ride that will make no sense, but as more of your friends keep telling you the story, you will understand why things are important.
It would also help if you remembered your friends are from different countries, and they have different traditions.
They all will try to act the action for you. While others are tired and hurt, they can only tell their story by hiding their faces away from you, and you must work hard at understanding the meaning. Some of your friends are prostitutes and slaves; others have sick with mental illnesses.
However, it would be best if you remembered, some are Soldiers and Veterans, and they come with many scars. They will show weakness and courage and carry on throughout in telling or showing the story.
The bad guys will tell and act out their side of the story as well.
I had a lot of fun writing the bad guys, the demons, and dark characters. I foresee you loving what I did with the tax collectors. However, there is one evil man I love, but you will know which in book 3.
I write in the third person multiple.
Many people like to start with one character and continue with that one character the entire story. If that is you, this is not the book for you.
