Gail D. Tierney

Gail D. Tierney was trained in anthropology, paleoecology, and botany at the University of New Mexico. Over the past thirty years she has been employed as staff or consultant at the Laboratory of Anthropology, Museum of New Mexico, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and other technical or teaching institutions in New Mexico. Author or coauthor of numerous technical reports, popular articles, and three books, she has received several awards for excellence in the writing of "readable science". Gail lives with her husband, Martin, in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
