- Kort biografi
- Geraldine Symons, who also wrote as Georgina Groves, was born in Ceylon, then a British colony. She served in the Red Cross in World War II. She wrote nine novels for children, including The Rose Window (1964), The Quarantine Child (1966), and The Workhouse Child (1969). Her best known-book is probably Miss Rivers and Miss Bridges (1971), in which two teenage girls get arrested for participating in the women's suffrage movement. She wrote three novels for adults: All Souls (1950), French Windows (1952), and The Suckling (1969). She also made a significant contribution to the time-travel genre with her 1977 novel Now and Then (published in the USA as Crocuses Were Over, Hitler Was Dead), in which the heroine moves between her own time and Britain during World War II.
