the author does not do a particularly good job arguing for the contemporary importance or relevance of the text from a practical or doctrinal POV, tho i believe there might b some interesting comparative insights to b drawn out

her historical analysis of the texts position vis-a-vis the maturation of mahayana is the most interesting aspect, tho it is not delivered in a very straightforward or exciting or developed way

tbqh i used it mainly as a reference for the history of bodhissatva vows… (mere)
