This was so sweet! And with a dash of angst! I'll forgive it being a bit unrealistic; Sarah was pretty brazen in bed for a virgin who has never even been exposed to the concept of lesbianism.. But overall, I really enjoyed watching Win and Sarah discover themselves and patch up their hurt. Would have liked it to be longer, and maybe with more about building up Win's self-esteem (there is a reference to her being plump that never got expanded on, too). And I loved the ending - I hope to see more of them in the series!… (mere)
Not bad for only 95 pages. Usually such short romances feel too rushed for me to get invested, but I liked this. Short and sweet with a nice dash of angst. Of course it would have been better as a full length novel, but I'm willing to suspend my disbelief about such a quick timeline of events when there is a plain heroine, one of my favorite tropes! This was so sweet! I liked the nice dash of angst from the hero's pursuit of another woman, which somehow managed to not set off my hatred of love triangles (though knowing about Lady Sarah's story next helped with that). Interesting characters! I'll definitely read the next and probably go back to #1 even though it doesn't have any of my favorite tropes.
I loved this! Super cute characters, delicious minsunderstanding and angst. Probably would have been 4 stars if it had been a novella or full-length book - 72 pages is not enough! (3.5 stars)
