- Hannah (Annie Gertrude) Gordon married Myer Jack Landa, an Anglo-Jewish writer, and became a writer under the pseudonym "Aunt Naomi." Together the couple published a number of novels and plays. Gertrude Landa wrote a children's column in the Jewish Chronicle and in 1919 published Jewish Fairy Tales and Legends, a book of 27 fairy tales based on characters in the Jewish Bible, Midrash, and Talmud. The stories tell of the boyish exploits of Abraham, Moses, and David, but also includes tales of higgledy-piggledy palaces, beggar kings, quarreling cats and dogs, water babies, magic red slippers, Alexander the Great, and a princess in the tower.
